-Full-time Warehouse Technician and Driver

Summary

As an Audio Visual Warehouse Technician and Box Truck Driver, you will be integral to the setup and maintenance of audio-visual equipment while ensuring efficient transportation using a non-CDL Class C box truck. This role requires a high school diploma or GED and emphasizes core skills in field service, maintenance, and cabling. Your premium skills in low voltage and relevant experience in electrical systems and telecommunications will enhance our operations. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will contribute to the seamless execution of events and projects, ensuring high-quality service delivery.

Mastermind Production Group Inc. is an Audio Visual rental and full production house that serves the greater Southern California area. Warehouse is located in Fullerton, CA, candidates hired will be working out of this office.

This individual will assist in the warehouse packing and returning equipment from live events and rentals. Employees will also regularly load, drive and unload box trucks and cargo vans for events, sub-rental pickups and returns and rental deliveries. Due to the nature of the warehouse duties qualified individuals must have at least some previous experience with live event audio or lighting equipment (ideally both). This is not a warehouse that picks solely by SKU so equipment familiarity is key.

While this position will have a standard schedule, due to events, hours of work may sometimes vary and will require early or late shifts to align with the production schedules of ongoing events. Ideal candidates will have flexible schedules that allow for weekend or early or late hours when required.

Candidates must have previous experience in Audio Visual in the live event, theatrical or corporate, or church sectors. Previous experience driving a box truck (16-26') highly recommended but not required.

Responsibilities and Duties

A qualified candidate will be able to perform the following:

- Perform deliveries and pick-up of equipment or supplies.

  • Must have drivers license with clean driving record

  • In good health to pass Drivers DOT physical (MPG will arrange and provide if candidate does not have).

- Prepare and pack rental equipment for customers.

- Unpack and test all rental equipment after its return.

- Perform basic cleaning and repair of equipment

- Use online inventory control software, Flex Rental Solutions.

- Ensure all company paperwork is completed. This includes but is not limited to: rental agreements, vendor packing slips and invoices, return forms and shipping documents.

- Communicate with supervisors to discuss damaged equipment, needed purchases or repairs, and other issues or opportunities.

- Assist with answering phones and greeting customers

- Must be able to drive stand up forklift (or be willing to learn).

- Climb ladder

- Lift up to 35lbs unassisted

- Other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)

Qualifications and Skills

Ideal candidates for this position will have:

- one (1) or more years experience driving a large box truck (class C)

- one (1) or more years of experience with Audio Visual equipment in a professional capacity.

- High school Diploma or GED

-OSHA 10 Certification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
